Purpose:

Develop a basic understanding of the role of partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and communication in sustainability.

Directions:

1. Review the 8-minute video with your sustainability planning team.

Reflection Questions:

1. In what ways are your experiences like those of Lesley and/or Charles? How are they different?
2. Who are the program champions in your grant?
3. What are your communication and documentation strategies?
4. How have you built stakeholder engagement into your logic model and project plan?

1. If you have not done so already, complete the Partnerships, Stakeholder Support, and Communication portion of the sustainability self-assessment in A Comprehensive Guide to Sustainability Planning (see page 27).
2. Using the results of your self-assessment as a guide, strategically integrate questions from pages 9-11 of A Comprehensive Guide to Sustainability Planning into sustainability planning team meetings to reflect on and plan to strengthen partnerships, stakeholder engagement, documentation, program champions, and communications. Identify action steps and integrate them into your project plan.
